Nikola Djordjevic will present his work “Erinnerung ist nicht die Reproduktion, sondern die Rekonstruktion eines Ereignisses”. This video performance employs notions of time, memory, and change shown as a self punishment through the repetition of the message which inevitably cannot be read. Zero Du, a sculptor from China, has been researching the relationship between individual and collective, personal and public space. He will present his latest project: “To Commemorate The Forgotten” and integrate his background and experience in speaking about memory and oblivion. Yomayra Puentes, a Colombian artist, will discuss how the Colombian artists (Doris Salcedo and Oscar Muñoz) ignore the trend to evade the memory of the violence that exists in a country such as Colombia by introducing universal aspects of what seems to be a local issue.
