Photography and Architecture between Image and Space |

Thomas Eller will present art work leading from photography as sculpture to designs of photography as architecture. In the context of art in architecture, he presents image semantic as well as spatial implementation approaches which suggest new starting points for a medialisation of architecture.
In his studio work, Thomas Eller produces complex spatial formations in which these same objects, photographed multiple times, on different spatial levels behind each other and next to each other. Perception then places the different objects in a sensible temporal interrelationship. By focussing on the different spatial levels one at a time, the viewer perceives an almost filmic sequence. It appears, as if one saw an object moving in space.

Der Künstler Thomas Eller stellt Arbeiten vor, die von Fotografie als Skulptur zu Entwürfen von Fotografie als Architektur führen. In Kontext von Kunst-am-Bau stellt er bildsemantische, sowie formal räumliche Umsetzungsansätze vor, die neue Ansätze für eine Medialisierung von Architektur vorschlagen.
